Anthrax, "I'm the Man"

Lil Wayne's revelation that Anthrax is one of the only bands that he listens to has me wondering what songs he's been getting down to. My first instinct was "Bring the Noise," but after investing more serious thought in the matter, I concluded that his favorite is probably "I'm the Man."

On 1987's I'm the Man EP, Anthrax riffed on "Hava Nagila" and Sam Kinison to create a loving sendup of Licensed to Ill-era Beastie Boys. It's a novelty worthy of Dr. Demento, but also an innovative cut of comedy metal and rap-rock before either of those genres were played out. Thankfully, Anthrax were too versatile to go the way of Green Jellö.
