Iggy Pop, "Home"

23 Days to Find a Home

This is my favorite Iggy Pop song that isn't with the Stooges or David Bowie. Doesn't hurt that he landed Slash and Duff McKagan, near their Appetite for Destruction-era peak, for the music (they're also in the song's terrific video, which debuted a year before The Year Punk Broke). But even with special guests, this song is all Iggy's, from his signature gyrations to the eternal adolescence in his voice. Who's gonna love you when the mountains get steep? Must be a rhetorical question.
