The Melvins, "Revolve"

King Buzzo of the Melvins is always a great interview, especially when he gets to talk about music. Often musicians have nothing interesting to say about their music, or worse, they spoil the magic of the song by giving away its asinine origins. But Buzzo seems incapable of that when talking about "Revolve" for Ernie Ball. I love hearing how he can come up with great music without formal training, song structure or drugs.

"Revolve" is on Stoner Witch, which turns 20 this year, but it sounds better every year, as good modern metal bands get weirder and grimier. "Revolve" also sounds good on an acoustic, though of course not as pulverizing as the original.
