Clive Burr

If you're an Iron Maiden fan, your appreciation most likely started with "Run to the Hills" or "The Number of the Beast." If you're not an Iron Maiden fan, you probably just haven't heard either of these songs.

Clive Burr, who died last night from MS, played drums on Iron Maiden's first three albums, including both of the aforementioned tracks on The Number of the Beast. Although he left the band before they became the stadium-conquering legends that they are today, his thunderous fills helped set them on that path and have stayed a crucial part of metal history. A moment of ruckus for Mr. Burr today.
