Anyone who checks in here regularly knows that I'm crazy about King's X. This short VH1 montage, one of the only times I've ever seen this band get some mainstream respect, warmed my headbanging heart this morning.
Drummer Jerry Gaskill was recently hospitalized for a heart attack, and is reportedly "breathing on his own" two weeks later. Here are a few ways to help:
King's X friend Wally Farkas (whose band Galactic Cowboys featured Jerry's drumming) just released a download-only live King's X album from a 1991 show in Boston. I'm sure it's fantastic, as all King's X shows are, and 100% of the proceeds go to Jerry's medical bills.
